Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota is dedicated to advancing the educational and career goals of today’s students. Founded in 1912 by Bishop Patrick R. Heffron, Saint Mary’s is a private, Catholic, comprehensive institution, administered by the De La Salle Christian Brothers since 1933. SMU enrolls about 6,000 students. Of those, about 1,350 are traditional undergraduates; more than 4,600 are adult learners in the Schools of Graduate and Professional Programs.
