Institute of Paper Science and Technology
IPST, which has a long and proud tradition of scientific and technical leadership in the pulp, paper, and related industries, moved to the campus of Georgia Tech in 1989 to create a partnership with Georgia Tech. The university, a world-wide leader in scientific engineering research and education, is located in the geographical center of pulp and paper manufacture in the U.S. The integration of the IPST research center and its graduate degree programs into Georgia Tech in 2003 completed the process begun in 1989, and it opened up a wide range of exciting possibilities for collaboration in research and education with the Georgia Tech faculty.
